After- concrete slab lifted
This 1978 home in Statesboro, GA was showing signs of slab settlement. The front porch, which is elevated 3 feet above ground level, had sunk approximately 2 inches along the border of the house. The home had previously experienced periods of intense rain and ground saturation, which is believed to have caused soil compaction and settling of the concrete. It was also discovered that a rodent had burrowed its way under the porch, possibly creating burrows that created further unstable soil conditions. The homeowner wanted the slab raised to its original position.
Lowcountry Basement Systems completed an inspection of the porch and suggested PolyLEVEL as a solution to lift and stabilize the concrete porch. The Foundation Repair crew injected approximately 25 lbs of PolyLEVEL into the slab. Our team had to use caution during the lift to avoid further cracking of the tile that covered the concrete slab. The lift was successful and returned close to its original position.
