Mark and Melissa Benak of Milledgeville, GA had a beautiful ranch home with a large detached garage. Every time they parked their cars after work, Mark and Melissa noticed a large crack on the side of the garage. It was disheartening to see the sign of a foundation problem.

Their foundation continued to settle, and the crack continued to grow.

One day, Mark had enough of the crack and decided to call Lowcountry Basement Systems for a free foundation inspection of his garage. Brian Townsel, an inspector for Lowcountry Basement Systems, did a thorough examination. Brian recommended stabilizing the foundation with 11 push piers and PolyLevel.

The push piers were pushed into the ground next to the foundation, then a bracket was put under the footer of the garage. The brackets were attached to the piers and pushed up using hydraulic pressure. The foundation wall was lifted back into place, sealing the crack in the brick wall. PolyLevel was injected into the slab of the garage, filling any void between the slab and the ground to prevent further issues.

Mark and Melissa now feel proud of their home every day after work when they park their cars.

A settling deck didn’t settle well homeowner Jay of Milledgeville, GA. Jay and his wife were too afraid to go outside and barbecue on their deck because the supporting posts had started to sink, causing the deck to slant.

In Hardwick, GA, a homeowner recently faced the often-severe issues of excess moisture and sinking floors within their home—both problems linked directly back to their outdated, inadequate crawl space. Vented and unsealed, the crawl space environment was the ideal breeding ground for high humidity levels, mold growth, and subsequent structural ramifications.

Initially, the homeowner reached out to Lowcountry Foundation and Crawl Space Repair, seeking a professional, reliable solution. Our skilled Customer Care Specialist promptly organized an inspection, led by one of our System Design Specialists. Their thorough evaluation confirmed the presence of high moisture levels contributing to wood rot and noticeable floor sag.

To effectively tackle these challenges, our production team embarked on transforming the unsettling crawl space with our CleanSpace® system, ensuring long-term integrity. Our team installed CleanSpace® Crawl Space Encapsulation, made with a high-grade, durable 20-mil liner designed to endure the harshest conditions, toc fully encapsule the area and halt moisture ingress.

Complementing this, the SaniDry™ Sedona was employed, a state-of-the-art dehumidifier, specifically chosen for its substantial capacity to control the area’s humidity, fostering a dry, comfortable environment. Drainage Matting was placed under the CleanSpace® liner, allowing efficient water removal processes. Coupling these moisture control methods with structural reinforcements, the SmartJack® system was precisely installed to alleviate and restore the sagging floors, thereby re-establishing stability.

Moreover, the PowerBrace™ system further secured the foundation walls, preventing any potential inward movement and enhancing the invaluable, solid safety net required for the long haul.

Through methodical and mindful execution, we galvanized the homeowner's peace of mind, converting what was once a deteriorating crawl space arrangement into a steadfast and enduring foundation. Our solution not only stymied immediate threats but established a definitive sense of security and stability in the years ahead.

When a Milledgeville, GA homeowner noticed a persistent dampness below their home, they reached out to us with concerns about excess moisture in their crawl space. This kind of environment isn't just uncomfortable—it's a breeding ground for mold, leading to potential structural issues and higher energy bills. They needed a lasting solution, and that's where our team at Lowcountry Foundation and Crawl Space Repair stepped in.

Our process began with an inspection visit from our Customer Care team, followed by a comprehensive assessment by one of our System Design Specialists. The diagnosis was clear: the crawl space needed effective moisture management. We knew that our CleanSpace encapsulation system could make a difference.

We started by preparing the area for installation. Our production team laid down our durable CleanSpace Drainage Matting, ensuring any water present would efficiently route to the perimeter drainage. This matting helps direct water flow while providing a stable base for whatever finds its way in.

Next was the installation of our CleanSpace vapor barrier, significantly outperforming traditional liners. This heavy-duty liner, UV resistant and treated with antimicrobial properties, set a strong line of defense against moisture and mold growth.

For enhanced moisture control, we installed the SaniDry Sedona dehumidifier. Its compact size packs power to keep the crawl space dry and foster fresh, healthy air. With the system autonomously maintaining low humidity levels, concerns of mold or musty odors were a thing of the past.

Upon completion, the homeowner enjoyed a drier, healthier foundation environment. Our encapsulation approach, matched with the Sedona, ensured their crawl space was no longer a problem area, but a safe and efficient part of their home. More importantly, they had peace of mind, knowing their home and investment were in good hands.
