This moisture was causing musty odors and potential structural issues throughout the home. Such conditions are common in vented, unsealed crawl spaces due to humidity and the stack effect, which can drive moisture upward into the living areas, leading to mold and wood rot.
Our process began when a Customer Care Specialist scheduled an evaluation with one of our System Design Specialists. During the inspection, we identified the sources of moisture and assessed the state of the crawl space. We recommended a comprehensive solution involving CleanSpace® Drainage Matting, CleanSpace® liner, and a SaniDry™ Sedona dehumidifier.
Our installation team arrived and started by placing the CleanSpace® Drainage Matting to ensure proper drainage beneath the CleanSpace® liner. This matting was carefully cut and the seams were sealed to direct water toward the perimeter drainage system or a central sump pump. We then installed the CleanSpace® liner, a rugged 20-mil moisture barrier with antimicrobial properties to prevent mold and mildew growth. Unlike typical 6-mil liners, our material is UV resistant and durable, providing long-term protection.
