Christmas Celebration at Lowcountry Basement Systems
‘Twas the night before the company Christmas party and all through the office,
The keyboards were clicking from hurried bosses,
The files and folders were stored in the cabinets with care,
Our work week was finished, not an hour to spare,
That night employees nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of vacation raced through their heads.
Team Celebration!
Lowcountry Basement Systems wanted the perfect way to celebrate the ending of another successful year, serving our homeowners of the Lowcountry. So, we threw a Christmas party! Throughout the month of December, joy and laughter filled every room of the Lowcountry Basement Systems’ office as we prepared.
“It was a blast!” said Marketing Assistant, Alexis Polityka. “We wanted to kick off the party the right way, with lots of sugar early in the morning. We had donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to make sure that everyone had the sugar rush they needed for the Christmas games.”
Team members enjoyed donuts and coffee as they arrived early, eager for a day of fun.
Sweet scents of sugar and spice permeated the air early in the morning. Steam rolled from the coffee cups filled with fresh brew. The party was just seconds away from starting when the last drops of creamer were splashed into mugs. Donuts and a few extra napkins were grabbed.
Curiosity, excitement and eagerness for the unknown laid on the faces of the crowd.
The room lit up with excitement as the party began with six Christmas games that brought out the competitive spirit and endless laughter.

Bobbing for candy canes!
“It was hilarious,” said Marketing Intern, Holden Videon. “My favorite part was watching everyone try to pick up candy canes off the table and put them in a bucket without using their hands. I couldn’t stop laughing!”
After the sugar rush started to slow, team members were surprised with stockings full of goodies and secret Santa gifts.
Stomachs started to growl, and team members were guided to the warehouse where they were met with a large and healthy spread of piping hot food. It was delicious! After a lunch recharge, it was back to more games.
Cornhole quickly became competitive, the dart board area was a little dangerous, and the photo booth gained popularity for close friends to mark 2017.
Team members loved playing cornhole and socializing after enjoying a delicious lunch.

The hours flew by. Kathy Jones, Production Coordinator said, “It was a great time. We’re like one big family.”
