This homeowner contacted Lowcountry Basement Systems to receive a free estimate on an encapsulation of his crawl space. His crawl space was filled with trash and falling insulation.
Our inspector suggested that he install our CleanSpace liner, a seven-layer reinforced polyethylene that isolates the home from the earth and reduces humidity levels.
Our inspector also suggested that he install our SaniDry Sedona, a dehumidifier that maintains the relative humidity in the crawl space to prevent moisture and microbial growth. Along with the dehumidifier, he suggested a SmartDrain be installed as well. The SmartDrain prevents plumbing leaks from going undetected and filling up the encapsulated crawl space with water.
Lastly, our inspector suggested the homeowner cover all crawl space vents with our vent covers, which permanently seals the crawl space from the outside to stop unwanted outside air from entering the crawl space.
This Summerville, SC homeowner became concerned when he noticed his dirty musty crawl space was beginning to fall apart. He contacted Lowcountry Basement Systems to schedule an appointment to receive a free estimate from one of our inspectors.
