Photo Album: Fix it to List it: Cracks Sealed with Piering in Savannah, GA
Dill G. of Savannah, GA had problems with the corner of his brick foundation cracking and sinking. The retaining wall around the home was sinking as well. Dill was preparing the house for sale and didn’t want these areas to be an eyesore for the future owners. Having seen an ad in the Savannah Morning News, he called the foundation experts at Lowcountry Basement Systems to help. An inspector from Lowcountry Basement Systems visited Dill’s home for a thorough evaluation. The inspector recommended installing a combination of helical piles and PolyLevel to solve the foundation problems. Galvanized steel helical piles are driven hydraulically into the ground around the perimeter of the home, and used to raise the foundation back to level. An expanding “geotechnical” foam called PolyLevel was then injected beneath the footers, helping pushing the slab back towards its original position. Dill was thrilled with the results!
