Photo Album: Sinking Foundation Restored in Meldrim, GA
Juanita and Harry J. of Meldrim, GA had sagging floors. Their home was built in 1895, and the piers supporting the subfloor began to crumble. Juanita and Harry were concerned about their house falling in and started researching foundation companies to help stabilize their home.Juanita and Harry saw an ad in the Savannah Morning News for free foundation inspections from Lowcountry Basement Systems. An inspector visited the property and performed a thorough inspection inside and out. He recommended a custom solution to stabilize the home from inside the crawl space and protect Juanita and Harry’s house from falling. The experts at Lowcountry Basement System installed four SmartJack’s and two zinc-plated steel PowerBrace beams under the home to give it the support needed. Fully adjustable, the galvanized steel piers are cut to size and will not sink like traditional piers. The floors no longer sagged. Juanita and Harry were thrilled with the results!
