At Lowcountry, tackling home challenges is what we do best, as demonstrated by our recent project in Hilton Head Island, SC. A concerned homeowner contacted us after noticing water entering their crawl space due to an unfavorable exterior grade. This was causing a continuously damp environment—an issue they wanted resolved. Following their call, our System Design Specialist, Jon visited the home, identified the root of the problem, and proposed a tailored solution involving two of our top products: the EZ Flow interior drainage system and the SmartSump pump. This approach aimed to effectively redirect and remove water from the space. Our skilled team installed the EZ Flow along the crawl space perimeter to intercept the water, directing it to the SmartSump pump, which then expelled the water away from the home.
Wet Crawl Space
In the customers' crawl space, there is water pooling, leaving it damp and musty.
Interior Drainage
The EZ Flow interior drainage system intercepts water at the perimeter of the crawl space and drains to the sump pump. To prevent reentry, water is removed from the crawl space and channeled away from the foundation
Crawl Space Sump Pump
The SmartSump Pump is used to pump water out of the crawl space. This system is designed to prevent flooding and water damage. It continuously monitors the crawl space and pumps out any water that is detected.
Exterior Drainage Line
An exterior drainage line connects the sump pump inside the crawl space to the gutter system so water can drain away from the foundation.
Cleaning Installation Area
The crew back filled the area to ensure no trip hazards or pipes are left visible.
