This Gray, GA homeowner noticed mold and mildew in a closet. He was concerned about his family's health. He wanted to fix his wet, damp nasty crawl space and prevent the mold from growing.
Lowcountry Basement Systems found signs of high moisture in the crawl space. The moisture was causing rotting wood and insulation to fall down. A custom solution was created to address the problem.
Lowcountry Basement Systems installed a Complete CleanSpace Encapsulation System, sealing the crawl space turning the damp, dirty, moldy area into a clean, dry space where mold can’t grow. CleanSpace Drainage Matting was installed over the earth. The dimpled plastic sheet matting promotes good drainage over the crawl space floor. CleanSpace liner was installed on top to isolate the home from the earth. This 20-millimeter material reduces humidity, and when combined with the state-of-the-art SaniDry Sedona dehumidification system, creates a hostile environment for mold to grow.
A SmartSump was installed to remove water from crawl space. SmartSumps can pump 2,240 gallons per hour. The final step was to seal the crawl space vents with SmartVents. SmartVents are designed to remain in the closed position until rising flood water comes into contact with the vent. Each vent, made in America protects 200-square-feet of an enclosed area.
