Like most of our customers, this customer was experiencing moisture and dampness in their crawl space and once again, our Cleanspace encapsulation system saved the day!
A homeowner in Savannah, GA, called us for help with a frustrating issue—water runoff was draining back into their garage and pooling on the sidewalk. We knew they needed a permanent fix, so we installed a StarPipe system and a catch basin. The StarPipe system works by efficiently directing water away from the home, while the catch basin catches runoff before it can cause trouble. To make sure the water had a clear path out, we ran the discharge line away from the foundation. Now, even during heavy rains, their garage stays dry, and their sidewalk is puddle-free!
This Savannah, GA home had a sagging floor which causing some of the doors to stick when opening and closing them. The joists and beams under his house were not properly supporting his subfloor.
Lowcountry Foundation Repair did an inspection and installed a SmartJack System in the crawl space to support the floors. With the floors level again, the doors were able to open and close with ease.
Paul C. of Savannah, GA owned a townhome. A year ago, he said, the neighbors put something very heavy in their townhome causing the floor in Paul’s home to sink. Paul called Lowcountry Foundation Repair to help him fix his foundation problem.
Lowcountry Foundation Repair installed a SmartJack System to support the joists in the crawl space. SmartJacks are galvanized steel support columns that can support loads over 60,000 pounds each. In addition to the SmartJacks, a PowerBrace beam was installed to allow the SmartJacks to provide support to the structure across an eight foot span. Paul’s foundation was fixed and he was thrilled to protect his home from the neighbors.
