The homeowner noticed they had a moisture issue in their crawlspace because the wood floor joists started to rot from exposure to too much moisture in the air. Lowcountry Foundation Repair installed the encapsulation to transform the space under the house into a clean, moisture-controlled space. After the moisture issue was resolved, our SmartJack support system was also used to relevel and support the sagging floor.

This home in Charleston, SC had moisture issues in the crawlspace, leading to mold growth. The home air quality was in an unhealthy state, so the homeowner called Lowcountry Foundation Repair for a solution. Our inspector introduced them to our encapsulation system and they decided to have it installed. The crawlspace moisture levels lowered to a safe level and the mold became dormant without the moisture to feed it.

Moisture elimination by installing and interior drainage system, vapor barrier, high-quality sump pump system, and dehumidifier. 

Our team carefully cleaned out this damp and dingy crawl space and installed our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier system to prevent moisture from seeping into the space. 

To prevent water from pooling and flooding this crawl space, we installed our Drainage Matting throughout the crawl space floor before sealing overtop with our CleanSpace Vapor Barrier. The dimples on the matting allow water to freely drain to the drainage system and sump pump to ensure water isn't stagnant in the space.
