CleanSpace Replaces Old Vapor Barrier in Macon, GA

This Macon, GA homeowner became concerned about his home's foundation after Hurricane Irma hit coastal Georgia in 2017. The storm brought water into his crawl space and damaged his previous vapor barrier, so he decided to do some research online to find a solution. He came across Lowcountry Foundation Repair's website and spent some time reading some reviews and case studies. He was impressed by what he saw, so he called and scheduled an appointment with an inspector to receive a free estimate.

Lowcountry Foundation Repair's sent an inspector to Macon to inspect the wet crawl space. He suggested that the homeowner have a new vapor barrier installed, CleanSpace. CleanSpace is a seven-layer reinforced polyethylene that isolates the home from the earth and reduces humidity levels.

After just a few days of installing the CleanSpace, the crawl space looked brand new! The homeowner was thrilled with the results and recommends  Lowcountry Foundation Repair to anyone with crawl space repair needs.

Water Leaking in Crawlspace

A unencapsulated crawl space can cause a whole host of problems if left unattended. If left unsealed the crawl space can invite mold, mildew, and indoor allergen problems, as well as leave the home above uncomfortable, or with spongy floors that will need to be replaced due to moisture damage. Using our Clean Space Vapor Barrier, a thick, moisture resistant barrier, we've sealed this crawl space off from the potential dangers of an unfinished crawl space.
