Home Foundation Repair Photo Album: Slab Piers Support Sinking Porch in Gray, GA
A few years ago Ginny G. of Gray, GA noticed cracking in her outside walls and her concrete patio was settling down and separating from the brick on top. Concerned about the eyesore her porch had become, Ginny researched the problem online, and found Lowcountry Basement Systems. The next day she called for a free inspection. The inspector created a custom solution for Ginny of slab piers and then PolyLevel. Galvanized steel slab piers would first be hydraulically driven into the ground to support and stabilize the falling sections. Next, a two-part, expanding polymer foam called PolyLevel would be injected through small holes beneath the concrete to lift the slab. Ginny liked the solution and went ahead with the work.
Sunken patio
Ginny's concrete patio had sunk and pulled away from the brick wall resting on it.
Settling porch
Gaps had appeared over the years as the porch settled.
Slab piers
Lowcountry Basement Systems installed slab piers, concealed from sight to support and stabilize the falling porch.
Beautified porch
After the work was done the gaps closed up and Ginny was thrilled! Her porch was beautiful again and the eyesore gone!
